Minnie Mae Hopper Elementary

M.M. Hopper's 14th Annual Kindergarten Stick Horse Rodeo was held Friday, April 4. It was a culminating activity for the work units on Wharton, patriotism, Texas history, and western culture, including cowboy life and lore. The students created and named their horses, chose and practiced rodeo events including barrel racing, hay hauling, wild bull riding, wild bucking horses, buddy pick-up, and flag relay. They also learned a variety of Texas poems, songs, and "The Star Spangled Banner."

Pre-Registration packages may be picked up between
8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m at the Hopper Elementary School office.
