- When a student comes to the library during the
school day, a pass from the classroom teacher is required.
Students may come to the library at the discretion of the librarian to
read magazines or the newspaper or to use the computers. Any
student who is sent from a teacher must sign in. Any student who
is disruptive will be sent back to class with a note to the teacher
about his behavior. Further disciplinary action will be
taken.
- A student is required to sign in on the sign-in
sheets by the circulation desk each time he/she comes to the library,
and if during the school day, present a pass, his name, the time he
arrives and the teacher's name. Upon leaving the library, the
student must sign out and have his pass signed.
- Before school, during lunch, and after school,
all students who come into the library are required to sign in. If
a student signs in and leaves before the bell rings, he is required to
sign out and may not return to the library during that same period.
- Books except those designated as reference,
special loans, or non-circulating, may be borrowed for two (2) weeks.
Fines for late-book returns of these books are $.05 per school day.
Students with overdue books and/or fines must clear their records before
checking out additional materials or using the library computers.
- Magazines and reference books are used in the
library only.
- Copies of articles needed for school
assignments may be purchased for $.10 per copy.
- To check out a book, line up near the computer
at the circulation desk. A librarian or a library aide will give
you instructions.
- The librarian will distribute overdue notices
on Monday of each week to all English teachers to be handed out to
students who have overdue books or owe fines. The librarian will
leave messages on Parent Link to notify parents that students have
overdue books or fines.
