Welcome to the exciting world of Mathematics!  I am so pleased to have you join me in an 8th grade Mathematics class.  You are beginning a mathematical journey through 8th Math TEKS!  I am so happy to make this journey with you.  We will work on memorization of basic facts (Tiger-Tools - due each Tuesday).  We will go through the 8th grade TEKS and beyond so that your adventures in math can continue to progress smoothly next year in Algebra I at Wharton High School.

 I welcome any and all helpful information about my students.  Here is some information I thought might come in handy:

Here is how grades will be calculated:

 

Tests 50%

Daily  35%

6 Weeks Tests 15%

  Behavior Expectations:
  1. Be in your seat, with needed materials, when the bell rings.
  2. Follow teacher directions.
  3. Be engaged in learning.
  4. Ask permission
