FAQ |
| Why does my child have to write a Tiger Tool
(see below) EVERY week? |
| The Tiger Tool has been proven to aide
students with basic math information needed for the TAKS test.
Information on the Tiger Tool is basic skills the TAKS test assumes your
child knows. Be assured, WJHS teachers would not waste your child's
time by asking him/her to produce a work that would not be beneficial to
him/her in some way! |
| Why does my child always have math
homework? |
|
Math is
learned by practice and the homework is a chance for your child to
practice the
concepts being presented in class. It is also a way for your
child to find out what he or
she does not understand and be able to ask the teacher about it.
|
| How can my child get help if he/she is
having trouble understanding the material? |
|
Check with
your child's teacher for his or her tutorial times. Check with Mrs.
Marek, the
counselor for names of tutors if you need long term help.
