Learning about the Visual Arts

Your child will be learning about the elements and principles of design throughout the school year.  I incorporate all subjects into my lesson plans.  There are various competitions that we participate in all during the year. To a name a couple there are The Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo Art Program and Wharton County Fair Creative Arts.

The first semester includes the vocabulary, drawing, called flat work, and computer technology, color theory, art careers, and learning to tap into their imagination.  The second semester includes all of the above and we add painting, 3-D sculptures, pastels, craypas, wire art, wood burning, mask making, art history, and much more.
