Theatre Arts:

Theatre Arts is a class designed for 8th graders. This exciting class will help them experience the wonderful world of theatre! It will be a great opportunity for them to explore their inner voice and develop into young adults who are able to express themselves in a competent and confident way. We will be studying artistic discipline, interpretation, improvisation, history of theatre, acting, costumes, set design, make-up, sound, lighting, puppetry, mime, storytelling, the process of performance, and much more!

All 8th grades enrolled in Theatre Arts will be allowed to audition for the Fall and Spring Play. The Fall play and the Spring play will be announced at a later date.

One of the most important skills in one's life is the need to communicate with others. Public Speaking is a class designed for the 7th graders to help them study communication in many areas of life. During this class, we will be doing more then just writing and delivering speeches. In addition to Informative, Demonstration, and Persuasive speeches, we will study listening skills, interview techniques, telephone etiquette, advertising and propaganda, broadcasting, group communication, debate, interpretation, theatre, performance and much more!

Any 7th grade student enrolled in Public Speaking is allowed to audition for the Fall and Spring Play.
