Physical
Education- These courses provided
the student with knowledge of physical fitness and with the
skills to maintain it. Physical education also provides the
student with knowledge, rules, and skills necessary to
participate in various leisure and lifetime sport.

Coach
Laura Guidry Health
- This course offers an introduction to such
area as anatomy, physiology, preventive medicine, the environment,
first aid, nutrition, human sexuality, drugs, and metal and
physical health. The focus of the course is on preventive
health and safety measures which enable the student to choose responsible
health behaviors to improve physically, mentally, and
socially.
Sports
Medicine
- This course is intended to introduce the
broad of Sports Medicine and relevant topics to the high
school student. The purpose of sports medicine programs is to
introduce students to the form of health care that includes
the practice of preventing, recognizing, assessing, managing,
treating, disposing of, and reconditioning athletic injuries
under the direction of a physician licensed in this state or
another qualified, licensed health professional who is
authorized to refer for health care services within the scope
of the person's license. Some careers include personal
training, club ownership, fitness consulting, nutritional
consulting, athletic coaching, endurance sports training,
weight lifting instruction, mental skills training, lifestyle
& weight management, and marketing and advertising. This
class is for 11th and 12th graders and does not fulfill the
requirement for physical education credit. Back
