Dawson-Making A Difference

Mrs. Long graduated from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma with a B.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies;  she is certified to teach Early Childhood Education as well as elementary school. She worked in private Christian education for two years as a part-time principal and taught grades 4th, 5th, and 6th in a self-contained classroom which included language, history, science, math, and Christian Bible Studies. In 1996 she taught kindergarten at Hopper Elementary. She has taught Language Arts at the 4th grade level for 6 years and will be teaching Language Arts on the 5th grade level in the fall of 2002. Her hobbies are interior decorating, cooking, traveling, and fishing. She has two grown sons, and a daughter who is presently attending Wharton County Jr. College; she is the proud grandmother of three grandchildren.
