Ms. Brooks is completing twenty-eight years as a classroom teacher. Twenty of those years have been at Dawson Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. She teaches math, social studies, science, health, reading, English, and spelling. Ms. Brooks also coaches fourth grade UIL spelling. Her hobbies include reading, cross-stitching, and working puzzles. Ms. Brooks graduated from Edna High School in 1973. She graduated from Prairie View A & M University in 1977 with a Bachelors of Science in Education and from the University of Houston-Victoria in 1986 with a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
