Parent/Teacher Resource Center

Wharton ISD Parent Teacher Resource Center and Professional Library is centrally located in the Education Support Center.

The operating hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday.

Equipment in the center is used by WISD staff, parents, community organizations and local business. (Headstart, day care centers, Little League, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, churches, etc. use the facility.) Our equipment is also used for workshops and meetings.

Each year new materials are added to our library and resource center as the budget allows. Suggestions from teachers, parents and users of the facility are taken into consideration when materials are ordered. Linda Sopchak manages the center and will provide users with appropriate forms to record materials used, assist in locating and checking out materials, and help demonstrate use of machines and equipment.
